VHF Communication System

The VHF communication system adopts the digital switching control equipment as the shore-based dispatch communication platform for port communication, so it can be used for maritime distress search and rescue wireless communication for ships in coastal waters, including dispatch, dialogue, and alarm functions. In addition, the communication system can also provide watercraft traffic safety and emergency command for inland waterways and maritime affairs departments. The system fully complies with the industry standards and specifications of related technologies and equipment formulated by the national transportation department.

    Overview of system functions

    The entire VHF-based high frequency communication system is composed of two parts, which are respectively VHF shore subsystem and VHF control subsystem.

    The VHF shore subsystem is composed of one or more VHF base stations. This subsystem is responsible for voice communication and broadcasting in the jurisdiction area, and is responsible for wired and wireless switching calls with the wired telephone public network.

    The main equipment in the VHF base station includes VHF receiver and transmitter, VHF transmitter combiner, VHF receiver splitter, power supply and monitoring interface of receiver and transmitter, antenna feeder equipment (including VHF antenna, lightning arrester, communication cable) etc.

    The VHF control subsystem mainly includes distributed digital dispatching system, operation terminal and supporting software such as monitoring, recording and broadcasting. These softwares can be installed in a voice management terminal at the same time for operation.

    Conventional business function

    Realize daily wireless communication with ships in the water areas covered by VHF shore station wireless signals.

    Can choose the single channel of the VHF shore station or all the voice channels to broadcast the safety information of the ship.

    Management function

    Remote monitoring function: real-time remote monitoring of the operating conditions of each receiver and transmitter, including data such as the power of the radio station, operating temperature, and power supply status.

    Remote data maintenance function: remotely maintain the working parameters of each equipment of the base station system, including the working power of the radio station, working channel, and squelch parameters.

    Timed automatic broadcast: The automatic playback software in the duty seat of the monitor can record the broadcast information. It can also use some or all VHF transceivers to realize information simultaneous broadcasting, voice recording and automatic information broadcasting at the same time.

    System expansion function

    The system provides a system recording interface, with the digital interface type. Customers can connect to the recording system through this interface.

    Provide wired and wireless conversion interface. The whole system provides a wireless conversion interface, so that the system can be connected with PSTN or PABX. As a result, wired users can dial wireless users in the system, or wireless users can dial wired users.

    Distributed type:the system adopts the distributed control center to control the VHF base station and configures the operation terminal as the demand, so as to respectively monitor the accessed VGF base station wireless signal channels.


    Multifunctional:The system provides VHF recording, channel monitoring (including radio channel switching, squelch, transmit power, standing wave ratio and field strength and other parameter settings), VHF timing voice broadcast and other functions.


    Multiple operation terminals:the system can provide desktop button-type, rack-type, computer-type telephone operation terminal equipment to be dispatched for selection; the system can be configured with 1-15 seats at most; the buttons on the system interface are programmable; the system also provides audio accessories such as speakers, microphones, pedal PTT, headsets and interface boxes for selection.


    Interface of the extended function: the system provides many extended functional interfaces, such as wired interface, digital or analog recording interface, etc.


    Programmable control button:the system provides several programmable control buttons, each key clearly indicates the provided function, and these functions can be completed by a single key.
